For UW-associated bioinformatics researchers with an approved IRB, the Research IT Services team is your bridge into the UW Medicine Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW).  We help investigators with topics like patient cohort identification and recruitment as well as clinical data extraction using more than 50 clinical data sources at UW Medicine as well as a network of primary care community clinics.

Typically Data Extraction requests operate in a few ways:

• Developing and Executing One shot Queries
• Developing Longer term Reports
• REDCap EDW integration
• Compliance generation
• Experimental data access

The Research IT team provides the above Biomedical Informatics services via the ITHS.
